Career
“Focusing on facts” is at the very core of my education as BSc in Quality Management, and it has been one of the major reasons for my choice of and interest in working within Information Management. Provision of the right information to the right person at the right time is a key element in being able to focus on facts and act accordingly. The tasks in Platon range from the very business oriented through to the very technical ones and thus cover a wide field. In 2001 I was the second consultant to be employed in Platon in Aarhus. In my years in Platon I have always had a commercial focus in my tasks of understanding clients’ challenges and subsequently facilitating a suggested solution followed by a delivery.
Daily working life
The tasks in Platon are quite diverse and you are faced with a lot of exciting issues and challenges which require experience, reflection and out-of-the-box thinking. The daily life reflects the project tasks that have been assigned to you which again has an impact on your work rhythm, i.e. there are both high and low intensity periods. Platon is a workplace where the balance between work and private life is a significant part of the set of values. Most project tasks are carried out at our clients’. In our experience the best results are achieved by having a close and direct contact and dialog with our clients. This implies that in some periods you do not see your colleagues very often, but yet, you never feel alone as it is in Platon’s culture to be on-line and you thus almost immediately get an answer to any questions you might have.
Colleagues
In spite of being employed in a project oriented consulting company where you do not see your colleagues that often, you have a close relationship with them. This not only goes for the colleagues working on the same location as you, but also for those working at other locations – both in Denmark and in our other offices around the world. There is a good collegial tone and atmosphere and a really good sense of humor which contributes to a high job satisfaction. In addition, a number of events and happenings are arranged providing plenty of opportunity to spend time with your colleagues outside of work, e.g.: Super Bowl Night, Cuban Evening, skiing trips, biking, football, badminton and ice hockey.
