The system developed by Novo Nordisk and Platon is called PEIS (Pharmaceutical Executive Information System). The system has from day one influenced the way in which the factories in Novo Nordisk operate. When the system was implemented in several countries, the generated data was only used in a very small scale. “Looking back, one of the critical parameters why we in a period didn’t experienced a big success with our BI-solution was actually the missing education”, says Kasper Damsø, who is a BI Specialist in Novo Nordisk.
With this experience in mind, Novo Nordisk started a focused education of the users, and that turned out to be a big success. The downward-sloping curve was turned, and significant improvement was the result.
