Data Warehouse Design – EDW Modeling

Successful Business Intelligence solutions rely on a robust architecture and the principles applied within. Such an architecture must be able to fulfill requirements such as reusability, data validity, flexibility, scalability, availability etc. In other words you need to be able to handle changing requirements over time as well as an ever-increasing complexity. A key component is the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)

  • Introduction to Data Warehouse architecture and the fit with BI solutions
  • Design and modeling of an Enterprise Data Warehouse using a specialized modeling technique
  • Populating structures and extracting data in the Data Warehouse
  • Managing and recording changes in data
  • Managing security
  • How to tag data in the Data Warehouse to support e.g. roll-backs across several tables
